Fiberglass chopped strand mat has two binder types, one is emulsion binder, another is powder binder.
Emulsion binder type chopped strand mat has good breaking strength, and is mostly used for hand lay-up process.
Powder binder type chopped strand mat is mostly used in machine producing and molding processes.
One specific chopped strand mat, transparent chopped strand mat is only powder binder allowed.
One more thing, for price of powder binder chopped strand mat with low area weight, the price changes a lot with the binder content. And it is also much higher than emulsion binder type.
