Protector Fiberglass Combination Glove Box with Pressure Control Module, Auto Purge/Fill Sequencer and Foot Pedal, provides a physical barrier for handling both hazardous substances and atmosphere-sensitive materials. A high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) inlet filter provides a particulate-free internal environment. Closure of two internal valves converts the box to a controlled atmosphere glove box that can be pressurized up to ± 5 inches water gauge achieving a leak-tight inert atmosphere. A built-in blower permits the box’s interior atmosphere to be vented to the outside without the use of an external blower. A blower speed knob allows the user to control the air speed through the glove box. Includes automatic pressure control module for monitoring and controlling glove box pressure. Module has switches for high/low pressure limits and alarm reset. LED displays range setting from -6″ to +6″ water gauge and actual pressure. Audible/visual alarm shall alert user to pressures outside of range limits. Foot pedal with 8′ cable allows hands-free adjustment of glove box pressure. Exterior is epoxy-coated 18 and 20 gauge steel. Interior is one-piece molded fiberglass. Factory leak tested while pressurized with helium at 5″ water gauge and has no detectable leaks greater than 1 x 10-6 cc/sec (31.55 cc/year). 3/8″ thick laminated safety glass window, angled 10 degrees, 3/8″ thick, with viewing area of 36″ wide x 27.6″. Window frame is 12 gauge steel with one-piece molded neoprene dual seal gasket. Two glove ports, with 8″ ID centers mounted 17″ apart, are constructed of epoxy-coated aluminum with molded neoprene dual seal gaskets. Transfer chamber, interior dimensions: 11″ w x 20″ d x 13″ h, has clear acrylic plastic inner and outer doors that pivot upward, are counterbalanced and equipped with quick-latches. Control panel on the front of the transfer chamber has glove box and transfer chamber pressure gauges and control switches for the fluorescent lamp and left and right interior and rear exterior electrical outlets. Four manual valves are mounted on the lower front panel for control of the gas inlet and vacuum for the box and transfer chamber. Includes one pair 0.015 gauge, size 9 3/4 neoprene gloves with clamps; 30-watt fluorescent lamp mounted externally; two interior-mounted electrical outlets; one exterior back mounted electrical outlet for accessory vacuum pump; two manual reset circuit breakers; and a 6-foot, 3-wire cord. Pressure relief “bubbler” manometer is provided for mounting on the back of the box. One year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
