On April 30, Sichuan Weibo six phase furnace technical reform project ignited. The furnace was stopped in February and took 78 days, the capacity was expanded from 35,000 tons to 50,000 tons/year with a total investment of 110 million yuan and a net increase in production of 15,000 tons. The furnace adopted electric flux technology, off-line wet cutting technology, upgraded air-conditioning system, automated logistics conveying, automatic packing by intelligent robots, and tested automatic filament loading, with 168 participants and 24 teams. In order to seize the current great opportunity of glass fiber products in short supply, all the builders fought hard to ensure the quality of construction while completing the ignition 7 days ahead of schedule. After the triple challenges of the new COVID pandemic, economic downturn and extreme industry downturn, Weibo raised 110 million yuan to prepare for the technical reform project, which showed Weibo's confidence and determination to develop glass fiber furnace.
The sixth phase furnace was first put into operation on August 1, 2011, and has been running smoothly for 9 years and 7 months, which is the longest running furnace in the history of Weibo.
